Just this week, a client from downtown San Diego called us stating they recently upgraded to Windows 10 and didn’t like the way it worked… they missed Windows 7. They found out from a neighbor that you could revert back to Windows 7 within 30 days of the upgrade, so they followed the instructions and successfully reverted back to Windows 7… BUT the internet wouldn’t work, even though they were connected to WiFi…
They looked up a few computer repair companies, and settled on us after reading our reviews. We realized when we got there that the computer was connected and able to ping outside to the internet, but no DNS… so here’s the fix:
Click the START Button (Windows logo on the lower left)
Type CMD and right click the entry at the top (black CMD or Command Prompt icon) and choose “Run As Administrator”
Type each line, followed by pressing “Return” or “Enter” after each line.
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
nets winsock reset exit
